Wow, what a location. Thankfully we did our research and had read other reviews that we needed to park outside the village as you'd only every get the smallest of cars to the hotel. A quick phone call when we parked up (cemetery car park is free 24hrs) and they sent a nice chap (Eric?) down to pick us up in a little Fiat 500. The walk up/down to the car which I did in the evening is hard work. The restaurant/food was amazing, really enjoyed that and a stunning view of the sea and beyond. The next morning we ventured further up into the medieval village and up the castle, really worth doing. They have a tiny pool (indoors technically) but has jets/waterfalls and a resistance pool allowing you to swim in it. The hotel itself was stunning and multi-levelled, our room was across the road, when we entered the hotel we'd need to go up two different stairs to exit the street above, it reminds you how steep the location is. Staff were amazing, made us feel very welcome, special thanks to Fiona who went the extra mile to ensure wedding anniversary was extra special. The room was stunning, ours actually had two air-con units, which we really appreciated as it was close to 40c that day. Very comfortable bed, secure (we slept with balcony doors open). Will stay again!

A wonderful, charming hotel in this beautiful medieval village. Every room has its one name and character. The staff are all super nice and friendly—from the moment they picked us up from the parking lot to the moment we left. There’s a very small resistance pool which is more for cooling off in as a plunge pool (with a glass of rosé) than for swimming—it was well appreciated on a hot day. I would’ve loved to stay longer. I also wish I’d known about their popular restaurant — with a rooftop that opens when the weather allows—beforehand so I could’ve booked. It has great reviews but it was unfortunately full on the night we stayed. But one of the staff recommended a restaurant in the square in front of the chateau, which was lovely.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Chateau Le Cagnard for the last 3 days. The hotel is in this medieval town on the top of a mountain and looks down over the valley so you have this amazing view through the valley. Perfect for watching the sunset with cheese & wine on the terrace. The staff at this hotel make the stay fantastic, we had a few requests and they helped us out perfectly without complaint. The room had a heap of character and was very clean.f you're looking for a hotel to stay at that is central to all tourist locations (like Nice, Antibes, Chateau Le Cagnard, Saint Paul De Vence) this hotel is great if you have a car as everything is within 20-30 mins away.

The view was lovely - over the valley below and beyond to the Mediterranean. The location was difficult to access as expected. Not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. The room was a little quirky in design and layout but comfortable overall. The breakfast was excellent. Sitting out on the terrace for breakfast, and dinner if you have it, is well worth it if the weather cooperates. Although the indoor pool is small it does have multiple massage jets.

Everything! This Hotel is like a fairytale hotel set in a fairytale village! It is the most charming and cozy hotel I have ever step foot in! Everything about the property was fantastic and all of the staff were wonderful and so accommodating. All the rooms are unique, super clean, luxurious, and very comfortable. I truly can’t say enough fantastic things about this hotel! Thank you for the best stay, we only wish we could’ve stayed longer!
